Basket Clock

I made a large basket clock to hang on the brick wall in our sunroom. I wanted something large to hang on the wall behind a porch bed swing we made.

All the materials used to make the clock are repurposed materials with the exception of the clock hands and movement. In my new book, Outdoor Decor Going Green, you'll find a complete tutorial with photos on how I made this large basket clock.

Back in the day it was cool to hang baskets as wall decor. When that time passed I kept the large baskets to use for trays. I guess you could say this basket has been repurposed two times, once as an extra large tray, now as a clock.

I never made a clock before so I did a little research on the internet and a couple craft stores. I decided to find a clock shop to talk to someone more knowledgeable and to purchase the clock movement and hands. I needed 8" clock hands, so I wanted to make sure the movement I purchased would turn the long hands.
