Drop Cloth Slip Covers

Making drop cloth slip covers is a good way to use a durable cotton duck fabric at a great price. We have slip covered furniture and I love the easy care of being able to remove and wash them .

I decided to make slip covers for outdoor cushions and pillows. Outdoor fabric is expensive at $10-$20 a yard. Ready made cushions are even more expensive. So I decided to make my own and kick it up a notch by trimming the slip covers with cable cording.

I have very basic sewing skills, I learned "back in the day" when home economics wasn't an elective. It's never been a fun task for me, more a frustrating one. With that said, if I can sew slipcover pillows and cushions, anyone can.
