Decorating a Fall Package

While your in the Halloween decorating mood, try wrapping the candy jars in this decorative fall package. I made this for our grandkids and loaded it with goodies. They live in the South and do not have the beautiful fall show that we have so I like to send them a little fall color.

If you live in the south and would like to send some sunshine, try this same technique with the ends of palm frowns.

This is what I used to wrap the package; brown craft paper, fall colored leaves, wax paper, masking tape, and a colored pencil.

Wrapping the Package

  1. Wrap the package with brown craft paper.
  2. Place fall leaves between two pieces of wax paper.
  3. Place a towel over the wax paper and iron. The heat from the iron will seal the wax paper and preserve the leaves.
  4. Tape the leaves onto the box.
  5. Frame the leaves with masking tape.
  6. Draw a decorative design around the masking tape.

Use your imagination and decorate the box with pressed flowers or different types of leaves such as ferns. There are endless ways to make a package for a present special.
