Ho Ho Cake

Ho Ho Cake is a chocolate lovers treat. Chocolate fudge cake with a white creamy filling topped with a smooth chocolate frosting.

I like the cake best with two layers of cake and a thick layer of the fluffy white filling in between. Make your favorite boxed chocolate fudge cake according to the package directions. Bake the batter in a jelly roll pan or divide the batter between 2 or more pans to make layers.

Filling:

• 3/4 Cup sugar
• 5 oz Evaporated milk
• 1 Stick margarine or butter room temperature
• 2 tsp Vanilla
• Pinch of salt
• 2/3 Cup Crisco

Combine the above ingredients and beat for about 12 minutes or until smooth and fluffy. Spread the filling over cooled cake.

Frosting:

• Melt 1 stick + 2 Tablespoons margarine
• Add 6 Tablespoons cocoa
• 3 Cups powdered sugar
• 1 Egg
• 2 1/2 Tablespoons hot water

Beat for about 3 minutes. The frosting will change consistency. Spread quickly onto cooled cake, sets up quickly.
