Holiday Centerpieces

holiday centerpieces

Holiday centerpieces don't have to be expensive or time consuming for great results. The centerpiece pictured above was put together with some things I already have, so I spent just a few dollars. It took no time at all to put the centerpiece together. The nice thing is, I don't have to worry about flowers staying alive through the holiday season.

The pinecones we picked up off the ground one day when we were picnicing in the park. The pepper berries I'v had for a few years, they are from bushes that grow wild in Florida. Berries are easy to find outside no matter were you live. A couple great things about berries; they'll dry out, but they retain their color, therefore, they're great for holiday decorating.

I bought a few gold ornaments from the craft store. I do not like decorating with red. The pillar candles are the right color for my house so I have them year round. It's as close to red as I get for the holiday season. I bought the gold charger that sits on top of the pedestal cake plate at Restore for $1

The table runner is made out of a burlap bag I had. I put it together for Thanksgiving and I'm using it again for Christmas. The two eucalyptus topiaries I already had from previous years.

To put the centerpiece together I made a pedestal cake plate out of different pieces of glassware. A clear glass platter for the bottom. I turned my truffle bowl upside down onto the glass platter. Filled the bowl with pinecones and the pedestal with pepper berries. Topped it with a gold charge with pillar candles.

To complete the centerpiece I placed topiaries on each side and scattered pinecones and gold ornaments around.
