Cocktail Meatballs
For a hearty hors d'oeuvre try these cocktail meatballs. Fill your chafing dish high because they will be a huge success. My brother-in-law expects them at all family gatherings when the get together is at our house. This cocktail meatball recipe has been a family tradition for many years. As with all recipes we pass along, the cocktail meatballs are tasty and simple to make. Upcycle-Repurpose-Reuse
Repurposed Funky Chandeliers I repurposed two chandeliers for my granddaughters, Skylar and Jadyn. Both chandeliers were the perfect size to make pendent lamps. I found one chandelier at Restores and the other at a salvage yard. Oddly enough they were both $7 each. With a little TLC I made a couple funky chandeliers. One a sweet little vintage pendent lamp and the other, a narly looking beach pendent lamp. I wanted both chandeliers to have a unique finish, instead of spray painting I used a technique to make one look like tarnished silver and the other paper mache. We have a box of mardi gras beads that came in handy for both chandeliers. Sun catchers and sea glass were added to complete my creations. Upcycle-Repurpose-Reuse
Upcycled Side Table Here's a new use for old wooden boxes, upcycle them into side tables. I've been stacking the boxes and using them for shelves and storage, all the standard uses for boxes. It's a clever idea to turn them upside down and attach legs. The legs are upcycled banister spindles. They are now available for purchase in our new Upcycled Products Store.

Wrought Iron Headboard I upcycled an iron porch rail into a chippy, vintage looking wrought iron headboard. Our granddaughter Skylar likes vintage decor and had a few specific request for her bedroom. Upcycling is an art, it's creative reuse by transforming an object for a different use. I find it very energizing, and I surprise myself with amazing finished projects. I had so much fun creating my book, Upcycle Home Decor For All Seasons Including The Holidays. I love the energy and creative process that goes into each project. The chippy iron headboard coast only a few dollars to make. The railing we had in our garage, and I purchased the two post from the salvage yard for $1.00. The headboard measures 53"X45". Simple Recipes
Chocolate Pudding Pie My favorite pie is chocolate pudding pie. Basically it's chocolate pudding in a baked flour pie crust. Our Grandma Fay's chocolate pie recipe is everyone's favorite, it's smooth and creamy and not too rich. The pudding is easy to make, about 60 minutes total prep time includes making a home made pie crust. The chocolate pudding will pair well with graham cracker, or any other cookie crusts. If desired, garnish the pie with whip cream add a dust of cocoa or chocolate shavings. This recipe makes one 9" pie. Share this page with your Facebook friends by clicking the Like button. |
