Kids Wood Table and Chair Set

Pictured is a kids wood table and chair set that was changed from ordinary dark wood into something colorful and fun. This was mom's table as a little girl, now it belongs to her kids. Thirty something years later it is still a sturdy table and chairs set that has gotten plenty of use.

The table and chairs were sanded so the paint would adhere to the finish, next color was added. The table and chairs were painted with all the colors that were used for the stove, refrigerator and cabinet.

The design that was painted on the cabinet was also painted on the table top and around the top of the chairs.

Next a little sanding here and there to let the dark wood come through and give the set a vintage look. Any nicks added over time from playing, just makes the table and chairs look even better.

This kitchen set was not purchased together as a whole set, however, by using the same paint colors, hand painted designs, and hardware we were able to tie the whole set together and make individual unique pieces in the process.

We completed the goal of making a play kitchen for our little chefs. This kitchen set has been treasued and will give found memories for future years.
