No Bake Cookies Recipe

No bake cookies are easy enough for the kids to make. They taste good any time of the year. They're perfect to make when it's too hot in the summer to turn on the oven, or when you're in the mood for something sweet without all the work.

Boil all the ingredients on the stove top for a couple minutes. Immediately drop by teaspoon onto wax paper or cookie sheets to cool and harden. They are ready to eat in no time at all.

Change them up by adding coconut, peanut butter chips or chocolate chips.

  • Ingredients;

  • 1/2 Cup Milk
  • 2 Cups Sugar
  • 3 Tablespoons Cocoa Powder
  • 3 Tablespoons Crunchy or Smooth Peanut Butter
  • 1/2 Cup Butter
  • 3 Cups Rolled Oats or Quick Oats
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla

Combine milk, sugar, cocoa, butter and peanut butter in a medium size sauce pan. Stir; bring to a boil over medium heat; let boil 1-2 minutes without stirring.

Remove from heat, stir in oats and vanilla. Drop by teaspoon onto wax paper or cookie sheets. The cookies will harden as they cool. Makes about 4 dozen cookies.

To make no bake cookies with coconut, use only 1 1/2 cups of oatmeal and add 1 1/2 cups of shredded coconut to mixture. For peanut butter chips or chocolate chips, add 1 cup to mixture.
