Painted Boxes
Bring a little organization to the play room with colorful hand painted boxes. Take an ordinary wood or metal box and make it special by painting designs, animals, butterflies, cars, trains, or flowers. This is one way to make organizing the play room fun for the kids. Here are a few photos of boxes that have been painted to store books, coloring books, small toys or anything else your kids may want to use them for. This is an old wood box that has monkey's painted all around the sides and ends of the box. The following photos show an alligator painted on a wood box starting with the alligator's jaws. As you turn the box you can see it's body and the painting ends with the alligator's tail.
Kids are full of imagination, ask for their help to come up with ideas for painting boxes to store their stuff. Another idea is painting a dream box. Take a box, any size and paint a dream on the inside of the box. This dream can be about anything, anyone and any where.
These photos show a dream box that is the size of a toy box. The dream that is painted on the inside of the box is a simple dream. The bottom of the box is a painting of us gardening together. The one end of the box is a front porch with our dog sleeping and the palm trees blowing in the tropical breeze. The other end of the box we are strolling and playing on the beach. These are just a few ideas to help give the play room or bedroom a little organization and a little hand painted style at the same time.
