Simple To Make Strawberry Pie

This no bake strawberry pie recipe is simple to throw together and it's the best strawberry pie I have ever tasted. It only takes about an hour from start to finish, including cooling down time for the pie crust and strawberry glaze.

It's as simple as slicing strawberries, placing them in a baked pie crust shell and pouring the cooled strawberry glaze over top. Let the pie chill, slice and serve with whip cream or ice cream.

You can make your own pie crust from scratch or bake a pre-made pie crust. I like the pre-made Pillsbury Pie Crust Rolls. They taste yummy and the pie crust is simple to make by unrolling one in a pie pan and fluting the edges.

• 1 1/2 Quarts Rinsed Strawberries
• 1 Cup Sugar
• 3 T Cornstarch
• 1/2 Cup Water
• 1 T Lemon Juice
• 1 9 Inch Pie Shell
• Whip Cream or Ice Cream

Crush enough strawberries to make 1 cup. Combine sugar and cornstarch in saucepan. Add crushed strawberries and water, cook stirring constantly until thick. Blend in lemon juice, cover and cool till lukewarm. Place 3 cups whole or sliced strawberries in baked pastry shell. Pour cooled glaze over strawberries. Slightly mix to cover all the strawberries with glaze. Chill and serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
