Here's an easy Stromboli recipe that can be served as an appetizer or a tasty hot sandwich with soup. Simply choose the ingredients you want to roll inside the pizza dough, ham, cheese, pepperoni, salami, black olives, mushrooms, the sky's the limit.

A ready made pizza dough makes this Stromboli recipe very quick and easy. Stop by the deli for your choice of deli meat and cheese, add veggies and sauces to create a Stromboli of your choice.

The Stromboli bakes in about 20 minutes. For easier cutting and better appearance, let stand to cool for about 10 minutes, cut at an angle 1 - 2 inch strips.

Ingredients;

  • One Ready Made Roll of Pizza Dough
  • 8-10 Slices Deli Ham
  • 1 Cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • Italian Seasoning
  • Sesame Seeds
  • 1 Egg White
  • 1 Cookie Sheet
  • Vegetable Oil to Coat Cookie Sheet

Coat cookie sheet with oil to keep pizza dough from sticking. Roll pizza dough flat onto cookie sheet. Place ham and 1 cup shredded mozzarella on top of pizza dough, sprinkle Italian seasoning over the cheese and ham. Roll pizza dough into a loaf, pinch ends to seal. For an evenly browned crust, brush pizza dough with egg white, sprinkle with sesame seeds

Bake for about 20-25 minutes in a 325 degree oven. Keep a close eye on the bottom of loaf, it will brown faster. Let Stromboli stand for 10-15 minutes to cool before cutting. Cut at an angle into 1 - 2 inch strips. Serve plain or with marinara for dipping.
